Tommy O’Toole joined the Sale and Purchase team at Compass Maritime Services in December 2006. He has been instrumental in the establishment of the Offshore desk at Compass and focuses most of his efforts in this department, particularly specializing in S+P activities, towage and chartering.
Tommy graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Logistics and Intermodal Transportation and a commission in the United States Navy Reserve. Tommy earned a USCG Thrid Mate License in June 2006 after sailing for the Military Sealift Command, AHL Shipping Company and Waterman Steamship Corporation in 2004 and 2005.
Following graduation, Tommy joined “K” Line America as a Marine Technical Analyst, responsible for U.S. East Coast vessel stowage planning, providing marine and vessel technical support/analysis including awkward cargo, DG cargo, container safeguard and handling, and port operations.
