Matt joined the Compass Maritime Offshore team in August 2010 as a broker for the Sale, Purchase, and Chartering of Tugs, Barges and all other types of Offshore vessels. At the end of 2011, Compass Maritime created a US Flag Tanker and Inland Tankbarge Chartering desk. Matt joined our Chartering team in 2012, and is now working with major oil companies, refineries, and oil traders to source US Flag Inland and Offshore Tankbarges or Tankers to transport clean and dirty petroleum products and other various cargoes throughout the country.
In 2008 Matt earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Muhlenberg College where he majored in Business Administration and Marketing. Prior to joining Compass Maritime, Matt spent a year as an account executive with the Atlanta Hawks of the NBA and the Atlanta Thrashers of the NHL. Matt then acted as a senior sales account executive for the New York Jets of the NFL. With the Jets he worked on a project with team owner Woody Johnson to sell all 82,000 seats in the brand new $1.6 Billion dollar New Meadowlands Stadium (also known as Jets Stadium).
